#70 Breakfast with Aga – planning April’s first birthday party, raw soup recipe and more

Last week

For several days now I’ve been thinking about April’s first birthday party and I have so many ideas that I’m a little afraid that I won’t be able to decide what to do. But it’s a small problem so it’s all good. I can’t wait, everything is pretty exciting and I’m very curious how everything will go. Nathan said that we could have a shared birthday party for April and me because mine are two weeks before but I don’t really know. On one hand it’s a cool idea but on the other one first birthday is so special that I don’t know if I want to do it this way. Let me tell you, it’s complicated. Today I’m going to take pictures for invitations so I still have some time to think this through. And her birthday is an excuse to finally finish unpacking and so I’ll finally be able to show you some :). I’m curious what you did for your baby’s first birthday or what you’d like to do in the future. Let me know!

Edit: I just ordered invitations and decided to do the party for April only..

We went to a playground which is really big and awesome for kids. April went on a swing for the first time and she was pretty excited! She laughed and watched everything around, holding on to the swing at the same time. Each moment like this makes me be excited too because it’s awesome to be able to watch your own baby who learns every single thing and learns the whole world. And you know what else? Trees are blooming!

Alicia really likes our new subdivision because we have a lot of kids here who she made friends with. If she’s here with us on the weekends she’s outside the whole time coming back home to pee or eat. The best thing is that she even plays with a 5-year-old boy and she had that phase for a long time that she “hated” boys and she could play with girls only, also with those who are at least 7 (Alicia’s 7) and not less than that at all (I think I’ll add a post about it). And see how everything changes when a kid is left on their own!

A few more photos from the last week…

Butternut squash, some red bell pepper, spices (no salt), dates, coconut meat and water. Awesome raw soup :).

Blended dragon fruit, banana, some strawberries, raspberries, spinach and coconut water. Kiwi, banana and dried mulberries on top. Yum!

April’s face tells me that she likes being carried like this!

Song of the week

I heard this song before because a YouTube channel OKbaby that I told you before. I never went back to it after that but recently Alicia has been singing this “if I was you I’d wanna be me too” all the time. Really, all the time. She was just walking around and repeating this one sentence over and over again. And it’s stuck in my head now so I’m sharing!

I laughed when I saw this comment below one of my videos on YouTube:

It says: “I realized just now that the name of your blog is aga in America, not again America”

I remember when one of my friends told me a long time ago that she thought it’s “again” and I realized then that it might seem like this! And especially for those who aren’t Polish and don’t know what “Aga” might be a name. So I need to tell you now that the name of my blog isn’t “again America”, it’s “Aga in America”. Aga is a short version of my name – Agnieszka :).

A year ago I talked to you about how I see negative comments on the Internet, how I see how other people see them and what I think about so-called haters. Now, after reading this one more time after a while I still think that it’s a good piece of article and is still valid.

What is it with this „hate” on the Internet?
