What I ate today: Friday + summary

Let me tell you, taking pictures of everything I eat, writing down the times, values, ingredients and adding posts every single day isn’t that easy while having such an active kid like April at home at all times. But you know, it was my idea and I’m glad I did it! I hope that it helped some of you to understand everything some more and to notice that I don’t starve myself what I tried to show before for a while. I appreciate the time you spent on sharing your opinions! And a few of the comments gave me ideas for new posts too.

I didn’t talk about Nathan at all but he eats in a similar way. He takes a full big bag of fruits to work and after he gets home he either eats what I make like a salad or a smoothie, or grabs something else.

Daily values and all that I showed you I took from an application called cronometer, which is a great app if you want to follow what you get from your foods. Generally, I don’t count calories or anything else because to me it’s a waste of time. I downloaded this app for the purpose of this series and I used it this week only. By the way, numbers I showed you are approximate. They’re not 100% adequate because it happened to me to make a mistake like I accidentally didn’t mentioned something while talking about what I ate but I added it to the calorie counts or something. We’re all humans ;).

Today I was outside doing something most of the time. I had a lot of energy and I didn’t feel hungry so this time I didn’t eat too much. And I didn’t eat any cherries! Also, since I was busy I didn’t put anything to my app so I’m just going to show you photos with no numbers at all. You know more or less how things go anyway.

I’ll come back with another series like this in the summer :).

6:40 am

The same mango smoothie I showed you a few times before. It’s very good!

9:00 am

I ate an acai smoothie bowl with strawberries, bananas, coconut water and I sprinkled it with coconut shreds. I took a photo but I forgot to send it to my email and my phone is upstairs now where Nathan’s putting April to sleep so I won’t disturb them. Later I ate something very similar so you’ll see a different photo below. I highly recommend meals like this!

12:00 pm

Third smoothie! Fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, peach, coconut water, baby kale.

7:40 pm

Listen, I had five nectarines and they were delicious! I haven’t had such amazing nectarines for a long time :)))).

8:20 pm

And this is the second smoothie bowl I mentioned. Almost the same thing as before but here I blended acai with banana, coconut water and half of an avocado. In the previous one I blended strawberries too which I didn’t do in this one. I added some raw cocoa nibs on top.

Comment of the day

I’m on a similar diet to yours and since I changed it I see positives only, no negatives. My version is a little different because I run long distances. One run can cost me over 1000 calories so I need to choose products that will allow me to fill the gap. So the amounts are different too. But I don’t have to stuff myself with meatloaf or french fries! Even more, since I changed my diet my results are better and I need less time for a regeneration. My hair is better, my nails, teeth too, I have more energy… So if someone asked me about negatives I wouldn’t know what to say! It’s interesting that before when I ate things I now avoid, when I ate a “normal” diet, the negatives list would fill two pages…

See, I’m not alone :D.
