What I ate today: Tuesday

I had such a bad day today… April doesn’t feel well so she’s literally glued to me which I’m not blaming her for but it gets tiring after a while. She woke up earlier than usual and she didn’t want to go down for a nap for a long time. There was a lot of different things happening but what was the worst was that I had an appointment with one of my doctors and my mother-in-law (this is the first time I’m using this phrase) said she’d help me and come here with Alicia (Alicia’s with her because of school, you know) to watch April. They were supposed to be here at 12:30 and I said it a few times that it’s important and after we moved the ride to this hospital is twice as long as before so I need to leave earlier. She said okay, okay. At 12:20 I texted her that April was awake so I didn’t want them to be too loud after getting here and she texted me back that they were on the way. I thought okay so I can get ready, I put my shoes on and waited. 12:30 – nothing. 12:40 – they were still not here. So I got frustrated because I already knew I was late. A little bit after that April woke up so I decided to take her with me and go. I just sent a message that I couldn’t wait anymore and that I took April. Let me tell you, I was pissed! And later things didn’t get better so I didn’t add the post.

 

But anyway, let’s put the emotions aside and talk about food.

Today (I mean, Tuesday) I slept longer! Some kind of a record but it was only because when I woke up at night to help Nathan with April I got totally awake and couldn’t fall back asleep for a while. In the morning I ate some watermelon which wasn’t that good so I left a few pieces.

I made a smoothie for me. I mean, for me and April. I used some frozen blueberries, kale, four dried dates and coconut water. I don’t know how much of which, I just put whatever I thought was fine. And it turned out great!

There’s no way not to eat strawberries during the day :D. I had around one kg and let me tell you, they were delicious!

As you already know, I had some troubles with my appointment and all that stuff so I didn’t take anything to eat with me. Yesterday I wasn’t that hungry in general, I’d say moderately, but eventually I was starving. So I ate this raw bar that I had in my car for a moment like this. Its ingredients are dates and cashews only.

I tried some more watermelon again… I said I gave up but it’s hard because I really miss them! Unfortunately I got disappointed here too.

For dinner I had something totally different because I had a lot of zucchini and all kinds of leaves so I made a zucchini lasagna :). I really liked it! I used a medium sized zucchini, 1.5 cup of arugula and 1.5 cup of kale that I blended with some sun dried tomatoes. I also had some raw spread that I bought not that long ago but I don’t remember its name anymore. I added some lemon juice, half of an avocado and fresh tomato on top. And this tomato was like the best one I ate for a while now!

Comment of the day

“Beautiful skin, moisturized body, lack of period… damn, and such savings! Not only are fruits cheaper then other foods but you also save on creams, conditioners, moisturizers, tampons… man! And even on bras because together with periods your tits disappeared too !”

This is a part of the most idiotic comment I’ve received within over 3 years of writing this blog. And you can tell me that it’s rude to write something like this or whatever but in this moment this is how I wanted to react and so I did so.

And by the way, before someone will get mistaken, I do have periods. And saving money, beautiful skin and moisturized body are cool, right :)?
