#54 Breakfast with Aga – a trip to the Lake Lanier and… I’ll see you in Poland!

During the last week

I bought two warm sweaters for my trip to Poland because people are scaring me that it’s cold out there. I thought it’d be good to have something like this and my closet doesn’t have any warm stuff besides a hoodie that I’m going to wear on a plane and a jacket that it’s too big for me. By the way, I need to pack… I’m going tomorrow (Monday) and I just started washing clothes, it’s already 9pm. This time I’m not stressed because I’m flying by myself so it’ll be much easier.

Recently Alicia has been obsessed with recording videos. She can turn a camera on Nathan’s computer on, sit in front of it and keep talking for a long period of time. And it’s easy to see she has a good time every time she does it. It’s interesting, though, that she never says her real name, she always introduce herself as “Alice”. Her motivation is “being famous” because she wants to put those videos on YouTube ;). I’m curious how long it’ll last!

We went to the hospital to take April’s blood and send it to do genetic tests and let me tell you, I was shocked. I was very stressed, really afraid that she’d start screaming because she never had any needle put in her body at all so I had no idea how she’d react. I didn’t want her to have any trauma or anything, it wouldn’t be good. Turned out there was no need to be stressed because when a nurse put the needle in April’s arm, she started smiling. And she smiled the whole time. Weird but you have no idea how relieved I was that everything went so well. Results are supposed to come in 2-3 weeks. Waiting for it is the most stressful time in my life and especially because there’s nothing I can do here.

My baby learned how to sit up and actually keep herself up! First she’d sit up and support herself by putting one arm on the floor but after 1,5-2 days she didn’t have to do it anymore. Watching all those changes is amazing!

Me, April, Mary and her son went to the Lake Lanier to relax a little, hang out together, let our babies spend some time in water :). I really like this place but this year we didn’t really have a chance to go there so I’m glad we did it now.

She fell asleep while waiting for Mary. I love when she sleeps in my arms!

A 6 month old April with her friend, a 3 month old Wesley :).

And a football game out there!

Song of the week

A song that Nathan showed me a long time ago and I’ve been wanting to put it here for a while now but I never remembered. I finally did it now! One of the songs actually having some story instead of just drinks, sex and parties. Don’t get me wrong, I like some of those silly songs as well 😉 but this time I’m in a mood for something like the one below.

So can you understand? Why I want a daughter while I’m still young, I wanna hold her hand and show her some beauty before this damage is done.

To watch

I have a video for you that I found pretty interesting and I learned a few facts I had no idea about before. You can kind of connect it to my post about why Alicia doesn’t go to school that I haven’t translated yet which sucks. I recommend watching!

I changed a name on my Instagram to againamerica_com so if you type gusiek.w it won’t work anymore!

A year ago I wrote a post about the most popular stereotypes about Americans you can find. By clicking here you can find other posts from the same category (life in the USA) if you feel like reading them. I’ll have more like these later!

Let’s refute some stereotypes about Americans!

Talk to you next time,
