We went to Destin for the weekend! Me and Nate were there before and this time we took our kids too. We didn’t see anything special, didn’t go to any museums or any other “must see” place. We just relaxed on the beach. On the other hand we didn’t even have too much time because we were there on Saturday and Sunday only and the drive is around 4,5 hours. And there’s also a one hour time difference. We all had fun :). And like I said on Instagram – it’s amazing that when you have a child who’s learning the world from the very beginning, you see everything from a different perspective too, through your baby eyes. If I didn’t have April I wouldn’t see anything this way.
Her first time in the ocean! 🌊 When you have a kid who’s learning the world from the very beginning, you go through everything one more time with her. And it’s definitely awesome to be able to look at all those things through my baby’s eyes and experience them in a totally different way that I wouldn’t experience otherwise. // Jej pierwszy raz w oceanie! // #florida #destin #family #vacation #babygirl #instababy #instamom #instamatki #thecutest
Song of the week
Recently I heard this song somewhere and I remembered a story from one of the summer camps. I don’t know how old I was but I think maybe around 12. My sister and I went to a camp where we had crazy discos ;). A few people, including me, took our own cassettes with our music and on one of mine there was this song you have below. I remember very well that when it started playing one of our teachers got kind of uncomfortable, she came pretty fast and turned it off. When we asked why she said that this song is not for kids. And we stood there wondering what she meant. Cool music, you can dance to it, why not for kids?! None of us spoke English at that time and we were really surprised and disappointed. The teacher obviously didn’t explain anything.
See, such a little thing and how well I remember! Imagine how well kids remember spanking and things like that ;).
Not that much time ago me and my friend Ashley (don’t get her confused with Ashlee I talked about before) went to a movie theater to watch “Bad moms”. It’s about three overtired mothers who decide to forget about their responsibilities and get forgotten freedom again. There’s a lot of situations that mothers know very well but not all of them can change it the way women in the movie did. Funny but not fake. Very light and easy to watch with friends. And not for mothers only! I recommend!
Children know what’s good!
Talk to you next time,
